“What makes Kerry different is that she was able to explain to me her research and you can tell she is so genuinely interested in what she does and enjoys it.”

I went to Kerry to help cope with tinnitus, and work related low mood. This was my first experience of not feeling I could cope, and my first experience of counselling so I was unsure what to expect and if it was right for me but Kerry very quickly made me confident that this would be beneficial. Kerry is incredibly intuitive and within a couple sessions was able to understand the way I thought and share many positive attributes of mine, linking what she had understood about me to the best strategies for me. She is not only friendly and inviting to talk to, but she completely put me at ease and was genuinely excited to hear good news from me. What makes Kerry different is that she was able to explain to me her research and you can tell she is so genuinely interested in what she does and enjoys it. She regularly told me interesting stories and facts about mental health and mindfulness and provided me with many resources which sparked interest in me to do my own research and work on my knowledge outside of sessions to benefit my well being too. I have continued to follow a lot of the techniques that Kerry has provided me with, that continue to help me in understanding myself and how I work which has encouraged me to talk more openly about what affects me. I genuinely looked forward to my sessions and being able to offload in a safe space with help to focus on the positives and how we were going to change it around for me. I could not recommend Kerry enough and I am forever thankful for the help I received from her during our sessions.

“Kerry helped me to develop coping strategies and I found her advice invaluable in helping me to cope with my anxiety.”

When I first came to see Kerry I was struggling with anxiety and I was worrying about everything in my life. I was finding it very hard to be in social situations and found myself too anxious to do most things, something which was causing a lot of tension at home. From my first session Kerry put me at ease, she is fantastic listener and I found it easy to discuss my problems and worries with her. Kerry helped me to develop coping strategies and I found her advice invaluable in helping me to cope with my anxiety. Through attending the sessions with Kerry I have been able to open up to my Husband and have developed a better relationship with my own emotions. I hope to continue to use the techniques Kerry has given me to control my anxiety and not let it get the best of me anymore.

“I now have a purpose to aim for.”

Thank you for your guidance, advice and calming, natural personality. Thanks to you I have now got a clearer mind and though I have a long journey still ahead of me I now have a purpose to aim for. In the future I shall think of all the things that you have advised me about at times when I may feel vulnerable again.

“I could tell that she really believed in me.”

The best thing that stood out for me about Kerry was that she really made the effort to try and understand me as a person and used this in her approach. This helped me because she noticed and pointed out certain positive qualities about myself and also highlighted other aspects of my personality which helped to explain and give me a better understanding of why I am the way I am. It also meant that the support and advice she gave me and the things we talked about were specific things that would actually work for me and I could tell that she really believed in me.
